Your body is a great instrument tool ⚒️ to figure out which emotion you are currently experiencing. Emotions show themselves not only in the mind but also come with specific body sensations that are individual.
Knowing how for example sadness feels like in my body helps me to catch myself feeling sad just before my usual coping mechanisms kick in. 😅
This idea comes from Hilary Jacobs Hendel’s book 📚 “It’s Not Always Depression”, which I can highly recommend. 👍
